Township Committee

Deputy Mayor Joseph Esposito

Mr. Esposito began serving on the Township Committee on 01/01/2019. He has been a resident of Bernards Township since 1999, along with his wife, Debra, and their three children, Daphne, Julien, and Chloe.

Education: Mr. Esposito is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and St. John's University, New York, where he obtained a B.S. in Computer Science. He is also a 2017 graduate of Leadership Somerset.

Community Services: Mr. Esposito’s community service has included coaching softball in the Bernards Township recreational league, volunteering at the Somerset Hills YMCA, where he also is a member of its Branch Board of Managers, and serving on the Board of Trustees of EmPoWER Somerset.

Professional Career: Mr. Esposito began his career at the law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in Manhattan before joining one of its clients, Commodities Corporation (U.S.A.) N.V. in Princeton, NJ. CC (USA) was acquired by the Goldman Sachs Group and he remained as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the subsidiary until joining the investment management firm of Blenheim Capital Management, L.L.C. in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Since 2016, he has been an independent consultant and non-executive director to firms in the alternative investment industry as well as serving as an expert witness and advisor in litigation matters.
