Police - Child Seat Safety

horizontal rule

Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death of children over the age of six months in the United States. The proper use of child car seats is one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of our young children in the event of a motor vehicle crash.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) has determined motor vehicle crashes to be the number one cause of death of children over the age of six months in the United States. The proper use of child car seats is one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of our young children in the event of a motor vehicle crash.

The Bernards Township Police Department has partnered with the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS) to provide instruction and guidance to the public. During the scheduled times, certified technicians are on hand to assist in ensuring your child safety seat is properly installed.
